CosmicCastaway Script - MP3 Player v3.0 Dialog

MP3 Player v3.0

This is the MP3 Player (v3.0) for CosmicCastaway Script.

The following instructions are to be used if you wish to install the MP3 Player in your script.

  1. Download this file: mp3playerv3.zip
  2. Un-zip the file into your mirc directory (typically c:\mirc).
  3. Open mirc (with or without connecting to a server) and type in: /load -rs mp3v3.ini
  4. When a window comes up that says the script has initilization commands, click yes so that you can selected the directory where your music is stored on your hard drive.
  5. Press the F2 key to open the MP3 Player and start jammin'. (See the Features List if you don't know what all it can do).

The following features are included with this MP3 Player:

  • /splay or External playing support (translation: mirc or winamp).
  • /splay contains Play/Stop Pause/Resume & External contains Play/Stop.
  • Repeat, Random, Continuous options for playing your music.
    Repeat: Play the same song over and over.
    Random: Picks 1 Random Song and plays it when you click play.
    Continuous: This works two ways, if you have Random selected with it, it will play a continuous loop of random songs, but if you have it set by itself, the computer will ask you to choose another song after one is finished.
  • Echo Active, Active Chan., and All Channels are for the display of your music.
    Echo Active: Displays the song & information into the currently active mirc window.
    Active Chan.: Display the song & information into the currently active mirc window & sends it to the channel/query.
    All Channels: Displays the song & information into all channels on the current server that you are on.
    Note: If you are using the multi-server option within mIRC v6.xx, it will only send it to the channels on the server in which you opened the MP3 Player Dialog.
  • Volume Control & Mute.
    Note: The Volume Control bar on the scrollbar must be dragged in order to change volume.
  • MP3 File Information.
    File Name, File Size, Length, Bitrate (kbps), Version (kHz).
    Note: The length counter will countdown upon play and will pause if the pause button is click (within the /splay option).
  • Redisplay, No Show, Show/Hide ID3.
    Redisplay: Ideal if you want to show the song to three of the channels you are in, but not all of then, just click the channel and click redisplay (if you had Active Chan. selected).
    No Show: Deselected the radio button that is selected under "Echo Active, Active Chan., and All Channels" section.
    Show/Hide ID3: This will make the dialog bigger/smaller to show the ID3 Tag information on the currently playing MP3 (or the last played MP3).
  • ID3 Tag Window
    This will show the Title, Artist, Album, Year, and Genre (Style of Music) of the current MP3 if the information is recorded in the files ID3 tag.
